  • Communicate with volunteers (i.e. Needs, schedules, etc.)
  • Identify training needs (if any)
  • Prepare volunteer schedule for event day with a backup plan for unexpected vacancies
  • Make sure volunteers are where they need to be during the event

  • Recommend booth prices per size
  • Develop/Edit forms for vendor registrations
  • Advertise for vendors (i.e. Facebook, videos, MailChimp email)
  • Collect forms for vendor registrations
  • Encourage interested vendors to consider sponsorship and refer those contacts to Committee Chair for follow-up
  • Communicate with vendors (i.e. receipt of form/fees, rules, vendor packets, etc.)
  • Report to Committee chair regarding progress (contacts made, verbal agreements, confirmed reservations, etc.)

  • Work with the committee chair and treasurer to establish entertainment budget
  • Communicate with Committee chair and treasurer regarding agreements (fees, hotel space, booth spaces,etc.)
  • Communicate with talent (i.e. Needs, schedules, etc.)
  • Creates talent schedule and manages schedule and talent during the event

Job Purpose: The arts/craft coordinator is primarily responsible for the management of the art/craft show exhibitors.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Determine rules and fees for submissions as well as any judging guidelines (subject matter, family-friendly, etc.)
  • Develop/edit forms for submissions
  • Advertise for art/craft submissions (i.e. Facebook, videos, MailChimp email)
  • If judging will be done, recruit judges (both skilled and amateur)
  • Communicate with artists/ crafters (i.e. Needs, schedules, etc.)
  • Organize submissions for display
  • Inform the Committee Chair of floor space needed for the show
  • Coordinate delivery of displays before the event begins
  • Coordinate pickup of displays before the event ends

Qualifications:

  • Skilled artist/crafter
  • Comfortable using social media
  • Comfortable in a variety of social settings
