What is Deaf Expo?

About the Deaf Community

There has been a lot of questions about “What is the Deaf Expo?”, “What is the purpose of the Deaf Expo?”

It’s a Deaf Thing is the similarity of trade show that you see, such as boat show, pet show, or baby show. It’s a Deaf Thing focus on having Deaf, Deaf-related, and Deaf-friendly businesses for the community. The most common question that was asked throughout the year, “I’m not deaf, can I attend?” Yes, this is open to the public, and everyone is welcome. Another purpose of It’s a Deaf Thing is to create awareness to the hearing world on how we function, adapt, and work in the real world without hearing. You will be amazed by how the Deaf community works with their business.

The only thing that you will see that is different in all other trade shows or expos is that everyone is using American Sign Language.
