Ava Rogers – Volunteer
Ava is a nationally certified interpreter who was born and raised in central Florida. She graduated from the University of South Florida interpreting program in 2013. She has experience in educational, VRS, community, platform, and performance art interpreting. Ava has been on the FRID Board, serving as the Region Representative West, since 2016. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, crocheting, spending time with family and her dogs, and being outdoors. Ava is always looking for opportunities to serve in the community, so she is thrilled to be on the volunteer staff for It’s a Deaf Thing!
Why does Ava Rogers want to volunteer for It’s a Deaf Thing?
Ava loves to volunteer because she believes in giving back to the community that taught her and continues to support her. She knows that without the Deaf community, she would not be able to call herself an interpreter.
